Algorithms to Live By? I don’t think so…
Google probably has one of the best AI Powered Algorithms out there to decide what to serve me up as content. No question. Years and billions of points of information allow Google, Facebook, and others to target you incessantly.
This rise of “algorithms” to make decisions is a non-stop debate. It goes something like this….
- Feed your AI engine enough data
- “train it” to do the right thing
- Human decisions are unnecessary.
Except, then you have this….today, the Google algorithm served me with a beautiful ad to have an affair with Ashley Madison, and then concurrently a Christian Backpacking experience with Wayforward Adventures….clearly, the algorithm is a bit confused…
Or is it? Hmmmmm.
