This notice covers Alsmiller.com, Charlie Alsmiller's personal website and writing archive. Channelproof is a separate property with its own privacy notice.

Information processed

This site does not include a contact form, account system, or direct checkout. Hosting and security providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access to deliver and protect the site.

If you follow an external link to LinkedIn, Medium, Channelproof, a bookseller, or another service, that service's own privacy practices apply.

Browser storage and your choice

The privacy control stores one preference in your browser: “essential” or “all.” Alsmiller.com does not currently activate advertising cookies or optional analytics through this control. If optional analytics are introduced, they will remain off until you choose “Allow optional.” You can reopen Privacy choices at any time or clear the preference through your browser settings.

Use, sharing, and retention

Technical information is used to deliver, secure, debug, and understand the reliability of the site. Personal information is not sold. Providers may process limited information on Charlie's behalf under their service terms. Security logs are retained only as reasonably needed for reliability, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.

Your choices and requests

You may ask whether information linked to you is held and request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Email charlie@alsmiller.com. Some records may be retained when needed for security, legal obligations, or an active dispute.

Security, audience, and changes

Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security. The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. This notice may change as the site and its services evolve; the date above will be updated when it does.
